The full story

Detailed itinerary.

Days 1–2

The Victoria Falls Hotel

The Victoria Falls Hotel is Zimbabwe's oldest and most storied luxury property — an Edwardian-style grand hotel built by the British in 1904 as railway-worker accommodation, now a five-star icon commanding a prime position directly above the Victoria Falls gorge, with views over the bridge and the spray of the Falls themselves. 2 nights at this camp.

Days 3–5

Wilderness Ruckomechi

Wilderness Ruckomechi looks out from the banks of the Zambezi River in a large private concession in the heart of Mana Pools National Park's wilderness — elephants are frequent visitors to camp, drawn by the nutritious albida trees that shade it. 3 nights at this camp.

Days 6–8

Wilderness Little Makalolo

Wilderness Little Makalolo is Hwange's original intimate safari camp — six traditional-style tented rooms built on solid plinths, set within a private concession known for consistently strong game viewing. 3 nights at this camp.
