Luna Namib Collection is a new all-inclusive luxury retreat in the Namib Desert, 70 km south of Sesriem off the C27. Gondwana describes it as family-friendly, with a sensory theme based on moon phases, and it is sold per unit rather than per person. With only two units it sits well apart from the other Gondwana Namib Desert properties in scale and privacy.
The two standalone units are Muse, sleeping up to 2 guests (2 adults and 1 infant), and Opal, sleeping up to 4 (4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant). Each has its own plunge pool and a dedicated concierge team. The stay includes curated activities, meals and concierge service; for stays of two or more nights the programme takes in a guided Sossusvlei excursion with champagne brunch, guided stargazing, a desert night walk, a private desert expedition, a desert immersion walk and e-bike or quad-bike excursions, with a scenic balloon flight and helicopter flight included from three nights. In-room wellness treatments cost extra.
Free transfers are offered from Keerweder Airstrip for up to six people, with Sossusvlei transfers on request. WiFi is unlimited but there is no mobile connectivity.
