Etosha King Nehale
Etosha King Nehale is an upmarket safari lodge just one kilometre from Etosha National Park's King Nehale Gate on the vast Andoni plains of northern Namibia. The lodge is designed around the shape of a Nguni cattle head, with 40 chalets extending from the central area like the horns of a bull, and its public areas carry strong Oshiwambo cultural influences. It opened in 2020 and sits in Gondwana Collection Namibia's Premium Plus Collection.
The 40 chalets comprise 27 twin rooms and 13 family rooms, each with its own private plunge pool, veranda, air conditioning, en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee facilities, with views across the open plains. Family rooms take two adults and up to two children. The central lodge has a restaurant, bar, boma, curio shop, wifi and secure parking.
The differentiator is Ontalelo Outpost, a secluded private waterhole and viewing hide inside Etosha reserved exclusively for King Nehale guests. Guided half- and full-day Etosha game drives are offered, and the Ondjumba Cultural Village Tour gives an interactive introduction to an Oshiwambo homestead and Aawambo culture. It is particularly convenient for travellers exploring northern Etosha or continuing north.
