Shishangeni Private Lodge

Shishangeni Private Lodge (marketed as Shishangeni by BON Hotels) sits on the Mpanamana Concession in southern Kruger National Park. The main lodge accommodates 44 guests in 22 individual chalets, each with an en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, air-conditioning, fireplace, telephone, mini-bar and private timber deck with bushveld views; inter-leading family rooms are available on request. Two smaller fly camps extend the property — Camp Shawu (5 chalets, 10 guests) and Camp Shonga (5 tents, 10 guests) — each with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, ceiling fans and timber decks.

Central facilities include a spacious lounge, library, intimate bar, wine cellar, gymnasium, swimming pool and both indoor and outdoor dining areas, plus the Sanctuary Spa offering in-room treatments. Guests can dine on buffet or à la carte cuisine indoors or in the boma, with bush breakfasts and bush dinners available on request. Twice-daily game drives are broken up with morning coffee stops and evening sundowners.
