Nkambeni Safari Camp

Nkambeni Safari Camp (also marketed as Nkambeni Tented Lodge) sits inside the Kruger National Park boundary fence, accessed through the park's Numbi Gate near White River and Hazyview. The camp is community-owned — conceived by the Nkambeni Community as a sustainable, eco-friendly income source for local people — and is managed under the aha Hotels & Lodges group. A portion of revenue funds community projects including feeding schemes, water supply, school and clinic infrastructure, cultural development and anti-poaching education.

Accommodation comprises 150 en-suite permanent luxury tented suites in timber and canvas, each with air-conditioning, a mosquito net, a private deck and a private outdoor shower; some suites are suited to guests with limited mobility on request. Camp facilities include a large dining area and fully licensed bar overlooking the park, a lounge, a large swimming pool and leisure area overlooking a waterhole frequented by hippo and other wildlife, a large boma for group braais plus a smaller boma for more intimate gatherings, an African curio shop, overlander facilities, and Wi-Fi in public areas. Activities include early morning and afternoon open-vehicle game drives, night drives, and guided bush walks.
