Kings Camp

Kings Camp lies in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, whose unfenced boundary with Kruger National Park lets wildlife move freely. The lodge faces an open savanna plain with a waterhole visited day and night, and guests have around 100 square kilometres of traversing at their disposal.

Accommodation is thatched and colonial in style, air-conditioned, with Victorian-style baths, indoor and outdoor showers and private verandas; the lodge has luxury suites and honeymoon suites with private plunge pools, plus the separate four-bedroom Waterbuck private villa (sleeping up to eight) for exclusive-use bookings. Guests dine in the dining room, on the terrace, in the open-air boma or as bush dining, with a wine cellar and pool, gym and day spa on site.

Twice-daily game drives and guided walks are offered, along with an underground photographic hide at the waterhole, night drives, a rhino-chipping experience, and optional hot air ballooning and helicopter flights. The main lodge takes children from age 6, while the Waterbuck villa welcomes all ages on an exclusive-use basis; confirm current rates and age policy directly with the lodge.
