Emhosheni River Lodge
Emhosheni River Lodge stands on the northern bank of the Olifants River within the Balule Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger, roughly 50 kilometres from Hoedspruit and around 55 kilometres from the Phalaborwa Gate. The lodge has five units built as traditional African rondawels with private decks or verandas overlooking the river, plus luxury tents, including a family unit.
All units have air-conditioning, en-suite showers, safes, hairdryers and tea and coffee facilities, with some offering baths or outdoor showers. Breakfast, lunch and a three-course dinner are included and served on the terrace or covered veranda, with special diets available on request. Open-vehicle game drives and bush walks are arranged through the reserve at extra cost. The lodge has an outdoor pool, garden setting with a fireplace and sun loungers, and 24-hour security; high-clearance or 4x4 vehicles are recommended for access.
