Chacma Bush Camp

Chacma Bush Camp is an intimate, family-run bush camp in the Maseke Game Reserve, a management area of the Balule Private Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park, between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa in Limpopo Province. All rooms have air-conditioning, mosquito nets, tea/coffee facilities and en-suite bathrooms. The main area centres on a swimming pool overlooking a small waterhole that regularly draws elephants, especially in the drier winter months, plus a dining lapa and an open-air boma for campfire evenings; a small elephant fence runs along the camp's perimeter for guest safety. Stays include twice-daily guided game drives across the 8,000-hectare reserve (with a coffee stop on the morning drive and a sundowner stop in the evening), a walk to the koppie behind camp, three meals daily, boma dinners, a traditional South African braai, and bush breakfasts on request; guided bush walks can be arranged in advance, subject to guide availability. Children aged 5 and older are welcome on standard bookings (under-12s pay 50% of the adult rate), with all ages accepted when the camp is booked for exclusive use.
