Xakanaxa Campsite
Xakanaxa Campsite sits beside the Xakanaxa Lagoon in northern Moremi, where permanent water meets dry land — one of the reserve's classic wildlife settings, with strong boat and mokoro access alongside conventional game drives. It anchors the northern end of the self-drive circuit through Moremi, opposite Third Bridge and South Gate to the south.
As with the reserve's other public sites, this is unfenced bring-your-own-tent camping with basic ablutions, booked through a DWNP camping concession — not a private lodge, and with no on-site catering.
Rooms: none — bring-your-own-tent camping only. Key activities: mokoro and boat excursions on the lagoon, game drives. Facilities: basic ablutions; no shop, no restaurant, fully self-catering.
