Sympõnia Guesthouse

Sympõnia Guesthouse is a small, family-run guesthouse and campsite 7km outside Ghanzi on the A3 road toward Maun — a straightforward overnight stop for travellers crossing the Kalahari rather than a wildlife-viewing destination. Named after the Greek word for "compassion," the property is run directly by its owners, who bring more than 50 years of combined hospitality experience, and is positioned around personal service and a quiet, business-traveller-friendly atmosphere rather than safari activities.

Accommodation is 8 double rooms, each with a fridge, air-conditioning, full en-suite bathroom, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, DSTV, a private patio and Wi-Fi, with pool views; dinner is available on request. The property also has 6 grass-covered campsites, each with a built braai/grid, water and 220V electricity, plus shared ablution facilities; braai packs are available on request.

This is a compact roadside guesthouse rather than a lodge with an activity programme — there is no game-viewing or excursion offering advertised on site, and Sympõnia's role in an itinerary is purely as a comfortable overnight stop on the Ghanzi/Trans-Kalahari corridor.
