Stanley's Camp

Stanley's Camp sits in a 260,000-acre private concession on the southern fringe of the Moremi Game Reserve. Shaded by mature ebony and sausage trees, the camp overlooks open floodplains where buffalo herds, elephant, giraffe and seasonally wild dogs move through view of the camp's own infinity pool. Because it sits in a private concession rather than inside the national park boundary, the camp can offer night drives and off-road walking safaris not permitted in the adjacent government-managed reserve.

The accommodation is ten tented suites, each a canvas-and-timber structure raised on its own wooden deck. Interiors combine classic 'explorer era' styling — canvas, leather, timber, woven basket lighting — with king or twin beds, mosquito netting, ceiling and standing fans (no air conditioning), and en-suite bathrooms. Each private deck comes with a daybed and hammock. The camp runs on 100% solar power (converted August 2016) with generator backup, and each room has its own Wi-Fi signal.

Game viewing follows the classic Okavango rhythm: twice-daily 4x4 drives (sometimes crossing into Moremi itself), spotlit night drives, and — in flood season roughly June to September — mokoro canoe trips and walking safaris with armed guides.
