River View Lodge
River View Lodge sits in beautifully manicured gardens on the banks of the lower Chobe River in Old Kazungula village, roughly 10km from Kasane town centre, 12km from Kasane Airport and 13km from Chobe National Park's entrance gate. It is a privately run gateway lodge rather than a bush concession camp, positioned as a comfortable base for exploring Chobe and for onward day trips to Victoria Falls (one hour's drive) and Livingstone.
Accommodation comprises eleven individually designed, fully air-conditioned rooms and free-standing chalets across five categories — Twin Rooms, Double Chalets, a Deluxe Double Chalet and Family Chalets — each with a private verandah overlooking the gardens and river, en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan and refreshment station. For groups or longer stays the lodge also offers a separate Private Home on a full-service or self-catering basis, with a large open-plan living area, en-suite double bedroom, additional guest lavatory, private verandah and garden.
The lodge runs its own activity programme built around Chobe National Park: 3-hour morning game drives and 3-hour afternoon boat cruises are guest favourites, alongside half/full-day game drives, tiger fishing, and an overnight bush-camping add-on. Complimentary extras include a guided walk through neighbouring Kazungula village, plus paid add-ons to the CARACAL Biodiversity Centre, the adjacent Chobe Crocodile Farm, Cresta Mowana's spa and golf course, Impalila Island (Namibia) tours, and Victoria Falls day trips/flights. On-site facilities: lounge, bar, dining area and swimming pool overlooking the Chobe River.
Rooms: 11 rooms/chalets across 5 categories (Twin Rooms, Double Chalets, Deluxe Double Chalet, Family Chalets) + a separate Private Home. Facilities: lounge, bar, dining area, swimming pool — all overlooking the Chobe River. Air-conditioning, ceiling fan and refreshment station in every room/chalet.
