Okavango Explorers Camp sits at the point where the Selinda Spillway meets the upper Okavango Delta's permanent water system, in the remote southwest of the private Selinda Reserve — an area Dereck and Beverly Joubert first explored on foot and by canoe decades ago. The combination of two ecosystems in one place makes this one of the better spots in the portfolio for both elephant density and rarer antelope species.

Canvas tents sit on slightly raised decking in a 1920s campaign style, recently refreshed alongside the camp's vehicles and a new solar energy plant. A central marquee houses shared dining and lounge space, and the camp is well suited to friends or families wanting to take over the whole property for an extended stay.

At the peak of the dry season in late September, more than 9,000 elephants are estimated to concentrate along this river system, making Okavango Explorers a strong choice for elephant-focused travel. Game drives, seasonal canoeing, guided walks and tag-and-release fishing round out the activity list, with lion, buffalo, hippo, eland, roan and sable all recorded in the area.
