Mokolwane is a small, intimate camp among Mokolwane palms in the Xudum concession — a vast, largely untouched private wilderness in the southern Delta, part of its UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the sole camp within the entire concession. The landscape mixes open grasslands, floodplains, lagoons, reeded islands, riverine forest and mopane woodland along the Matsebi river system.

Seven tents (6 twin, 1 family) sit about ten feet off the ground beneath fig, jackalberry, ilala palm and wild mangosteen trees favoured by foraging elephants, simply appointed with en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and ceiling fans. The camp runs mostly on solar with generator backup, and its scale suits small groups seeking an exclusive-use booking.

The Xudum concession reportedly holds the third-highest recorded leopard density in Africa alongside strong lion, wild dog, hyena and cheetah populations and seasonal elephant herds estimated at 5,000-10,000. The area's wildlife density drew filmmaker Brad Bestelink to base himself here, and it served as the filming location for Netflix's "Living With Leopards" and the BBC's "Big Cat Diary." Activities include predator-focused game and night drives, and seasonal mokoro/boating when water levels allow.

Rooms: 7 tents (6 twin, 1 family), raised ~10 feet off the ground. Children 6 years and older. Facilities: swimming pool, family room, outside dining, firepit. Mostly solar with generator backup. Sole camp in the Xudum concession; filming location for "Living With Leopards" (Netflix) and "Big Cat Diary" (BBC).
