Little Sable

Little Sable sits in the same Khwai Private Reserve as its larger sibling Sable Alley, in a part of the reserve bordered by Moremi to the south, Savuti to the north, and the Khwai Community Reserve to the east. Originally a small photographic operation known as Pangolin Camp, it was redesigned by the same interior designer as Sable Alley (Tracy Kelly) to echo that camp's style at a smaller scale and more accessible price point.

Its eight tents (6 twin/double, 2 family) are simpler and more compact than Sable Alley's but retain the essentials — king beds convertible to twin, writing desks, en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, and private viewing decks facing the grasslands. The main area sits opposite a favoured grazing spot for zebra and elephant, so casual wildlife-watching happens from camp throughout the day.

The surrounding habitat supports lechwe, hippo and crocodile in the wetlands, sable, roan, kudu, giraffe, zebra, elephant and buffalo on the grasslands, and rarer sightings of wild dog, serval and even pangolin. Guests rotate through game drives, mokoro trips, a double-level viewing boat, an underground hide, and the pre-dawn KPR Predator Patrol.
