Khwai Lediba

Khwai Lediba occupies the same private Khwai Community Concession as sister camp Leadwood, bordering Moremi Game Reserve — notable in African conservation history as the first wildlife sanctuary established by an African tribal authority (the BaTawana) on its own ancestral land. The surrounding landscape mixes pans, floodplains, lagoons, grassland, acacia forest and mopane woodland within a single concession.

Interior design leans into lush greens and rich golds. The camp centres on a pool with a sun-lounger deck, a lounge and reading area, a boutique shop selling local crafts, and a shared fire pit. Eight tented units — six standard suites, one interconnecting family suite, and one honeymoon suite with an outdoor bath — each have a private viewing deck, king bedding, mosquito nets and an in-room mini bar.

Restricted to guests 12 and older, Lediba's activity program and atmosphere skew toward couples and adult travellers: game drives, night drives and walking safaris through the Moremi border zone, plus mokoro paddling on the Khwai River. Guest reviews specifically praise wild dog and lion sightings, positioning Lediba as a quieter, more intimate classic-safari experience than the family-oriented Leadwood.
