Kanana Nyana

Ker & Downey Botswana's newest camp, opening 15 October 2026 in a game-dense pocket of the Delta bordering Moremi Game Reserve, elevated over the Xudum River and its floodplains. The name derives from the Setswana word for "small" — a deliberate nod to the camp's intimacy, capped at just eight guests across four suites.

The design is architecturally driven rather than traditional safari-tent styling: four thatched suites, each individually decorated (sage green, pale yellow, dusty pink) with decor themes drawn from the surrounding forest's signature trees (Marula, Sausage, Ebony, Mokolwane Palm), each with its own private plunge pool. Guest areas include a central space with clearly zoned bar, lounge and dining sections, a gym, and in-room wellness/spa treatments — an unusually well-appointed facility set for a camp this size.

On a private concession, guides can go off-road and run night drives; activities span game drives and spotlit night drives on dry ground, plus walking safaris, mokoro, boating and fishing when seasonal flooding allows. As a brand-new property it's positioned as a refined evolution of Ker & Downey's long-standing Okavango presence.
