Duba Explorers Camp sits on an island in the northern reaches of the same 33,000-hectare Duba concession as its Réserve-Collection sibling, Duba Plains, surrounded on all sides by Delta floodplain. It's the more affordable, expedition-style option in Great Plains' Botswana portfolio, aimed at travellers who want the same wildlife access with a simpler, lighter-footprint camp experience.

Five canvas tents sit on slightly raised decking, styled with 1920s campaign furniture and designed by Great Plains founders Dereck and Beverly Joubert. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with double vanities and indoor shower, air-conditioning, and a private verandah. A central marquee-style canvas structure houses the open-plan dining and lounge area shared by all guests.

The activity programme centres on game drives and guided walks through the same lion, leopard and painted dog territory as Duba Plains, with the option to combine a stay here with Great Plains' other Explorer-Collection camps at Selinda and Okavango for a broader circuit at a lower nightly rate than the Réserve-Collection camps.
