Camp Moremi

Camp Moremi has long carried a reputation for delivering the 'classic African safari' experience, and a full rebuild in 2018 brought that experience into a more modern, luxury register while keeping the sense of place that built its name. It sits within the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve, on the shores of the Xakanaxa Lagoon.

The camp houses a maximum of 24 guests across 11 spacious, modern thatched safari tents and one family room, each with double vanities, showers and a private deck overlooking the reserve. The communal spaces are a highlight in their own right: a sunken bar built around a large termite mound and ebony tree, an expansive lounge with brass and soft-textile finishes, and an extended library, all connected by boardwalk to a fireplace in front of camp and a secluded pool.

Days are split between game drives across Moremi's varied ecosystems and boat trips exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its channels — a combination that gives access to leopard resting in mopane trees, elephant herds, lion prides in the long grass, and prolific birdlife including African fish eagle, malachite kingfisher and, occasionally, the rare Pel's fishing owl.
