Launched November 2025, Sandibe Under Canvas sits deep inside the same 22,500-hectare private concession as the main Sandibe Lodge, renowned for year-round predator sightings — lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog all roam within exclusive traversing rights minutes from camp. With no fences separating guests from the bush, it is marketed as a rawer, more immersive "predator country" counterpart to the main lodge.
Accommodation is deliberately minimal-footprint: just three canvas tents, each with a private veranda, ensuite bathroom with separate flushing WC, indoor hot shower, in-room safe, standing fan, solar-powered lighting and plug points, and full mosquito netting (no air-con, no bath). The camp runs entirely off a dedicated solar plant, with open-sided communal tents for dining and drinks and personalised butler service.
The safari experience centres on twice-daily game drives (vehicles fitted with 12V/USB charging) plus walking safaris, stargazing and birding, with meals cooked over an open fire and shared communally. Every tent receives complimentary Swarovski binoculars and a take-home Guides' Journal; a Wild Impact community visit to Sexaxa Village can be added.
