Atzaró Okavango Camp

Atzaró Okavango Camp is African Bush Camps' most indulgent Botswana property, set deep in the Okavango Delta and reachable only by helicopter — a detail that alone signals its exclusivity and remoteness compared to the drive-in or light-aircraft access typical of most Delta camps. It sits among tall reeds, meandering channels and open savanna grassland, giving access to both the aquatic and dryland faces of the Delta. The camp is a formal joint venture between African Bush Camps and Atzaró, an internationally known hospitality group with roots in Ibiza-style boutique resort design.

The design favours open-plan spaces, abundant natural light and panoramic Delta views, built from wood, woven textiles, leather and canvas with an emphasis on African craftsmanship. Twelve accommodation units — eight standard suites, one family suite, and one villa — each come with their own private plunge pool, a spacious living area and outdoor bathing, a level of in-room infrastructure unusual even among high-end Okavango camps.

Beyond the standard Delta activity roster of game drives, walking safaris, night drives, mokoro paddling and birdwatching, Atzaró differentiates itself with a dedicated wellness offering: a yoga deck, holistic spa treatments, guided outdoor meditation and a fully equipped gym, alongside chef-prepared health-focused menus and the Ngwana Club for younger guests — positioning it as a hybrid safari-and-spa retreat.
