4 Rivers

4 Rivers is among Kwando's newest properties, opened after the surrounding area — historically navigated only by old-time hunters and trackers crossing four difficult river fords on the Tsum Tsum floodplains — finally received airstrip permission in 2023, making it the last genuinely unexplored corner of the Delta to open to visitors. The camp has exclusive access to the western side of the Kwara concession; no other camp traverses this ground.

Nine tented suites (8 standard, 1 family) have a contemporary, spacious feel with elevated private decks and beds configurable as king doubles or twins, plus practical touches like charging points compatible with medical equipment. The main lodge is entirely "wall-less," opening directly onto the Tsum Tsum River channel, with a sand-level firepit and small reference library.

4 Rivers markets walking safaris as a specialty, led by a dedicated walking guide exploring Maboa Island's ecosystem on foot, alongside game drives, night drives, off-road tracking and seasonal mokoro trips. Wildlife highlights include sable antelope, elephants in the river, the rare Cape clawless otter, and strong lion and wild dog activity.

Rooms: 9 tented suites (8 standard, 1 family), king or twin configurable. Facilities: wall-less open dining/lounge/bar, small reference library, sand firepit, swimming pool, safari shop. 100% solar with generator backup. Area only opened for tourism in 2023; exclusive access to west side of Kwara concession.
